CONTROL UNIT
Con troll of the function of
CPU it tells to other parts of the CPU, how to operate what data use and where
to put the results
PROTECTION TEST UNIT
(PTU)
This is a part of CPU work
with control unit to monitor whether or not function are carried out correctly
.If it detect something is not done properly it generate and show error signal
ARITHEMETICAL LOGICAL
UNIT (ALU)
ALU performs all of the
calculations and logic functions for the CPU including add Subtract, Divide,
Multiply, Equal to Greater than and less than and other arithmetic and logical
operations
FLOTING POINT UNIOT (FPU)
It is also known as math
procerssor.If handles all floating point unit operations for the ALU and the
control unit floating point operations involved arithmetic on numbers with decimal
releases high math operations like Trigonometry and Logarithm.
MEMMORY MANAGEMENT UNIT
(MMU
The MMU handle the addressing
and cataloging where the data stored in system memory. Whenever CPU need some
something from memory it request it from memory
.
BUS INTERFACE UNIT
(BIU)
BIU supervises the transfer
data over the bus system between the other component of memory and the CPU to
look ahead future instruction
PREFETCH UNIT (PU)
This unit prefetchs (preloads)
the instructions from system. This allows CPU to look ahead at future
instruction.
DECODE UNIT (du)
Many instructions are
actually combination of simpler
Instructions the decode units
decodes incoming instructions their simplest form.
